About Dave Chiller, M.S.
Common Pulse founder Dave Chiller’s passion for the joy and potential of rhythm and music is rooted in over 30 years of playing, studying and exploring percussion and music ranging from Rock and Blues to West African, Cuban, and East Indian rhythm cultures.
He has a masters degree in science and has trained extensively as a rhythm and music program facilitator and leader with the TaKeTiNa rhythm process, with Certification at the Advanced Level, and drum circle facilitation training with Village Music Circles, HealthRHYTHMS and more.
In 2001 Dave founded Common Pulse, based in Corvallis, Oregon, with a mission to provide opportunities for all types of groups and individuals to experience the joy, benefits and potential of connecting to the power of rhythm and music.
Since that time Common Pulse has led programs for countless groups in education, business, healthcare, spirituality, and public and private celebrations.
Dave also serves as an artist with ArtsCare, a program of the Samaritan Health Network which brings art and music programs into healthcare settings.
